UT Graduate Alumni Excel!

Elin Suleymanov, Master of Public Administration
 
Mr. Suleymanov recently returned to The University of Toledo to discuss relations between the country of Azerbaijan (west of the Caspian Sea, bordered by Iran, Russia and Armenia) and The United States of America. Suleymanov was speaking in his current capacity as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to the United States. Having graduated in 1994, Suleymanov said that the campus has greatly improved since his time here. His visit was sponsored by UT’s Center for International Studies and Programs.
 
Eric Fulcomer, Ph.D. in Higher Education
 
Dr. Eric Fulcomer began his role as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Rockford College (Rockford, Il.) this March. In this new role, Dr. Fulcomer will oversee the management of undergraduate admissions, global affairs, athletics, retention, financial aid, registration and student billing. Since his time at UT, Dr. Fulcomer has served in various roles at Bluffton University (Bluffton, Ohio) and was recently the Mayor of the Village of Bluffton, Ohio. As a faculty member at Bluffton University, he had the opportunity to teach and hopes to continue teaching once he is settled at Rockford College.
 
Alan Shaw, Ph.D. in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry
 
Dr. Shaw is currently the President and CEO of Vedantra Pharmaceuticals in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Shaw’s previous roles include Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer at VaxInnate and Director of Public Policy, Public Health and Medical Affairs group at the Merck Vaccine Division. His research includes a broad range of vaccine development programs. Dr. Shaw will be returning to The University of Toledo on April 20, 2013 as the keynote speaker for the 4th Annual Midwest Graduate Research Symposium.
